Sock Monkey Invasion

Wow! What a fun day at the Midway Village Museum in Rockford, IL for the Invasion of the Sock Monkeys! I have never seen so many different kinds of sock monkeys in one place. I purchased my first sock monkey, and her name is Vivian Leigh. I can't wait to make something for her to wear. I also joined the Midway Village so I can attend other events for free or a reduced price. A new exhibit, "100 Years of Girl Scouts" just opened. It was a walk down memory lane as I was a girl scout back in the 60's. Ouch...dating myself here! Enjoy the pictures and make sure you attend next year's sock monkey event.
